Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Parent Teacher Conversations

I would like to thank you for participating in our Parent Teacher Conversations this week. I trust that you have found them useful as we share in this important role of educating your child(ren). It has been quite different conducting these by telephone but almost everything as we know it has changed with COVID-19. Thank you to our teachers who have put in an extra big effort over the past couple of months but certainly this week, speaking with all parents. I am aware that some families could not be contacted. If this is the case for your family then please make an alternative time with your child's teacher. Teachers have now begun working on school reports which will be sent out at the end of this term. 

Stewardship Reflection 

“To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 CORINTHIANS 12:7 

To receive the gift of the Holy Spirit you must open your heart and invite Him in!  Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts, words and actions every day. Be grateful for all the gifts God has given you.  Regardless of our individual circumstances, God has given all of us many blessings.  What we do with those gifts is our gift back to God.  By generously sharing everything we have and everything we are, we become more “God-centred” and less “self-centred” and our lives truly reflect God’s light, love and mercy. 
We pray that through gratitude and generosity, we learn to open our heart and invite the Holy Spirit into our life!

Character Strength of the Month

At TWCS all students gain a deeper understanding of our Character Strengths by focusing on a different one each month. 

• Reconnect with the 4 strands of Visible Learning
• Reconnect with the 10 Mind-frames for Teachers
• Reflect on how we develop visible learners
• To share a Learning Intention and Success Criteria that we had used with your students.

The beginning of Term 2 started with some students in 5/6 White learning from home and some at school. The students displayed great independence skills when accessing the learning from OneNote and remained in constant communication. It is wonderful to be back together as a community again.

Hello TWCS families

It's been long time between drinks and unfortunately it will still be a little while until we can socialise as  a larger community. However, I continue to be humbled by the way we are all doing our best to stay connected and look after each other.
