Dear Parents and Caregivers,

School Fees

Recently I provided a link to a message from the Director of Catholic Education SA about some impending good news regarding fees. Across our Catholic primary schools we have been investigating ways that we can continue to support families and provide excellent education and care while having a fair and reasonable price point. Paula and I have discerned a new fee structure and it will be presented to the School Board for approval at our next meeting. Once that is done I will notify you of our 2021 school fees. I am confident that you be pleased with the new structure.

Stewardship Reflection

Sunday 30th August is Social Justice Sunday, an initiative of the Australian Catholic Bishop’s Conference(ACBC) Office for Social Justice.  Each year the ACBC chose a contemporary social issue and develop a statement outlining the situation and relevant Catholic Social Teaching and produce an annual social justice statement. This year the ACBC are focusing on mental health. The social justice statement is called - To Live Life to the Full- Mental Health in Australia Today.  

Nurturing a Growth Mindset

At Tenison Woods we are consistently speaking to the students about having a growth mindset in all aspects of their learning and relationships with others. Below is some information how parents and families can also support their children and nurture a Growth Mindset.

Last Monday 17th August the staff worked with our colleagues from St Joseph's Kingswood and our Visible Learning leader, Lyn Coote. 

SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival

On Friday 4th September all of the Year 3 to 6 students will be attending the SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival. The students will be competing against teams from a number of different Catholic Schools around South Australia. 

Last week the students of Year 2 Green visited the SA Art Gallery Precinct as part of our Visual Art and History Units. Our Learning Intention was to understand that Art can evoke different feelings in different people. 

Congratulations to all the recepients of a Principal Award presented at this morning's assembly.

Hello TWCS Community

This years Father's Day stall is not to far away. Due to the Year 3-6 SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival being held on the same day as the Father's Day Stall, most students won't be at school.
