Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

Last Thursday we held our School Concert at the Christian Family Centre at Seaton. This was a fantastic event and a culmination of a great deal of work from the students and the staff. I would like to thank Naomi Ali, our Music Teacher, who planned the concert and organised a wide variety of items for the classes to perform. Thank you to our staff who supported Naomi with extra practices, making costumes and props, and encouraging our children to do their best. You should be very proud of your children, they were simply amazing on the night. Thank you to all of you who were able to attend, enjoy the atmosphere and support our young stars!

Well-Being Day

Today we celebrated Well-being Day!

We had a wonderful day of activities provided by Active Education such as fill the bucket, survival camp and puzzle relay. The children also enjoyed guided meditation, bracelet making, games and a disco with DJ Signora with limbo, cartwheel and backflip competitions. Thank you to Matt, Jesse and Moneeta from Active Education and Courtney our well-being co-ordinator for organising such a fun filled day.

Religious Identity and Mission

Stewardship Thought - In All things Love

“If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” MARK 9:35

Jesus teaches us that we are called to love one another. Love involves sacrifice. Sacrifice is a word that many of us do not like to hear. We think it means that we must give up something that we want. However, the literal meaning of sacrifice is “to make holy,” from the words “sacer” = sacred and “facere” = to make. In other words, we make our lives holy by sharing our gifts in the service of God.

We pray that through our service and our sacrifice we may grow closer to Jesus and help others to know the love and care of Our Lord.

Music

We have had two FABULOUS terms getting ready for our school music concert!

On Thursday 16th September, the day finally arrived and the students were very excited to showcase what they had learned.  Before the concert started, a few of the older students provided some ‘pre-concert’ entertainment, performing what they had learned in their private instrumental lessons at school.

Term 2 and 3 Soccer and Netball

With the end of the soccer and netball seasons for this year I would like to thank the following parent volunteers for the time and effort they gave towards coaching and mentoring the players across the season. I would like to thank Bernice Arentz, Michelle Mellar, Kirsty Miller, Brad de Vries, Allison Pirone, Kathryn D'Aloia and Justin Storr. I would also like to thank the many different parents who acted as Covid Marshals during the Saturday morning soccer games. Without these people these sports would not be able to go ahead. I would also like to thank all the families for their on going support of sport at TWCS and also like to congratulate all the students who participated in these sports. The students have continually showed high levels of commitment, sportsmanship and effort towards their chosen sport.
