We’re an extremely sporting community and we have a specialist sporting area because of the pressing need for our students to have specialist skills training and coaching.
The majority of the school participates in school sport on the weekend, supported by our parents. We attend a variety of different carnivals and do very well for school of our size.
But for us, sport is about participation. It's about health and fitness. And, above all, it's about connecting with others and having fun.
We have a specialist music teacher at Tenison Woods Catholic School.
All students learn the ukulele and now we offer private lessons for families who want to take them up for tuition. The students also spend one lesson a week with a specialist drama teacher. We have a concert every two years, which is a big focus for the school, and allows our students to prepare for, participate in and enjoy the chance to shine on stage!
