The Mini Lit Program is a comprehensive literacy intervention designed to support students who require additional assistance in developing their reading and writing skills. It focuses on early literacy development, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Mini Lit aims to equip students with the necessary foundational skills to become confident and proficient readers.
The Pre Lit Program is a pre-literacy intervention specifically tailored for our younger students who may require additional support before entering formal literacy instruction. This program emphasizes the development of oral language skills, phonological awareness, print concepts, and alphabet knowledge. Pre Lit provides a strong foundation for literacy acquisition and helps students transition smoothly into reading and writing activities.
TSD is designed to address the specific learning needs of students who require additional support in various academic areas. TSD provides targeted intervention and differentiation strategies in literacy and numeracy, ensuring that students receive focused instruction and practice to enhance their learning outcomes. Our dedicated team of teachers work closely with students to identify areas of need and implement tailored interventions.
The EALD (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) Program is designed to support students whose first language is not English. We recognize the unique challenges these students face in language acquisition and provide specialised instruction to enhance their English language skills. The Language Lab Program focuses on developing vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills to ensure students can confidently participate in all aspects of school life.
This Gross Motor Skill development program is designed to build on and enhance children’s gross motor skills. Gross motor skill development involves the large muscles in the arms, legs and torso. Gross motor activities are important to everyday physical activities like walking, running, throwing, lifting, kicking, etc. Gross motor abilities also form the basis for fine motor skills and relate to body awareness, reaction speed, balance and strength. All Reception children throughout the year will access the program with children in Year 1 and 2 accessing the program if needed.
