It has been a very exciting start to Term 2 with Reception Gold students attending a week of swimming lessons at iSwim at Immanuel College. The students were placed into groups based on their ability and confidence in the water. Each day the students were exposed to a range of different activities such as putting their heads under the water, retrieving toys from the bottom of the pool, practicing safe jumping in the water, swimming freestyle, floating on their backs and using the appropriate stroke for back stroke. The students used their character strength of Bravery, Perseverance, Zest, A Love of Learning and Teamwork. The children thoroughly enjoyed the week and were all ready for a rest over the weekend.
