As restrictions begin to ease across South Australia and many community sports have begun training again many students and families have begun asking about the return of school sport. In Term 2 and 3 Tenison Woods offers students the opportunities to play Soccer and Netball and were due to begin at the start of this term. However, due to the COVID-19 restrictions school sport is still currently restricted and postponed. Both the North West Junior Soccer Association and the Southern Area Junior Netball Association have identified the beginning of Term 3 as the tentative date for the beginning of the soccer and netball seasons. The recommencement of the seasons are most certainly dependent upon the advice of SA Health, Catholic Education South Australia and the Department of Education. The SACPSSA Netball Carnival was scheduled to take place in Week 10 of this term however SACPSSA has been advised by Catholic Education South Australia that all carnivals will be postponed to Term 3. The revised date for the SACPSSA Netball Carnival is Term 3 Week 2 and further information the carnival will be shared with families later in the term.
