Stewardship Reflection

“Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.” 1 CORINTHIANS 10:17
As disciples of Jesus, we are called to lead holy lives and invite others to join us.  Living a stewardship lifestyle, being grateful and generous with our gifts, serves a double purpose.  1. it helps build God’s kingdom here on earth. 2.  it helps us strengthen each other’s relationship with God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  It becomes our roadmap to Heaven.  We pray that we answer God’s call to build his kingdom on earth and help each other get to Heaven!

Refugee Week - Year of Welcome!

The ultimate aim of Refugee Week is to create better understanding between different communities and to encourage successful integration enabling refugees to live in safety and to continue making a valuable contribution to Australia.  Refugee Week is a unique opportunity for us all to experience and celebrate the rich diversity of refugee communities through theatre, music, dance, film and other events.  At TWCS we celebrate over 20 different cultural backgrounds of our families:
Australian, Filipino, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Shona, Greek, Polish, Italian, Salvadoran, Taiwanese, Egyptian and Peru, Qatar, Lebanese, Serbian, Austrian and more.
We acknowledge the colour, vibrancy and diversity these cultures bring to our community.  We welcome you all HOME to Australia.

Feast of the Sacred Heart

On June 19th we call to mind God’s great love for us, visible in the life and mission of Jesus. This feast day is a celebration of the love and compassion of Jesus for all, who ministered among us with great love and compassion.  The SRC hosted a school liturgy led by Fr Peter.  We know that God is a loving friend to us. A friend who will continue to support and forgive us when we make mistakes.  Let us give thanks for this love.
"Together with all God’s people, you may have the power to understand how wide and long, how high and deep, is Christ’s love." Ephesians 3: 14-19

Book Covering Thankyou/Grazie/Arigato/Efharisto/cảm ơn bạn

What a wonderful response from our community!  There have been over 200 books covered in just one week. This is remarkable.  New reading books are now available for the children.  They will be distributed to the R-2 classes as well as the library.  Happy Bookworms!

PJ Day

School is about learning, building relationships and having fun!  That is how Pyjama Day covers all those themes.  Learning about Vinnies and the work they do for the vulnerable and the poor.  Building relationships with each other and supporting others in times of need. Wearing PJs to school while watching the Year 1 assembly during a live stream.  Too Much Fun! What  great way to raise money and awareness.  Thank you for your support and gold coin donations for the Winter Appeal.  We raised $270.

Online Booking for Masses

Please book in for Saturday Night/Sunday Masses using our website: Remember that you will need to make a booking for each individual attending Mass (not just one booking for 'Joe and Mary Smith' or 'The Jones Family'). If you need any assistance in booking the Mass, please contact the parish office.
*After Friday 19/6, there will be no need to book in for weekday Masses.

What's different during the Mass?

Basically, we pick up where we left off in March (yes, remember March, it was still Lent!)
  • Continued social distancing (members of a household may sit together). Only alternate pews are available.
  • Please continue to record your details at the door so that you can be contacted in the case of a COVID infection in the parish.
  • Sanitise your hands upon entering the church.
  • No holy water in the fonts.
  • No exchanging the sign of peace
  • The chalice is not distributed to the faithful.
  • Communion is still to be received by the faithful in the hand.
  • In our parish with the present numbers, only the priest will administer Holy Communion.
I want to sincerely thank everyone for their continued support of the parish during these challenging times. I have been overwhelmed by so many words of appreciation and encouragement. I am also greatly humbled by everyone's continued generosity to the parish, especially when so many are experiencing their own hardships. I hope that the further easing of restrictions will mean that we can return to normal soon!
