In Science, we have been learning about bees and plants and how to use iMovie to present our information. Students created iMovies to explain the importance of bees in pollinating our plants and documenting how fruit is formed from flowers.

In Maths, we have finished up our learning on Fractions and decimals and are now applying this knowledge to measurement.

In English, students haven been focusing on correct use of punctuation and grammar in all their writing. Their punctuation and grammar checklist now includes proper use of conjunctions, correct tense of verbs, accurate use of full stops, paragraphs to separate similar information, capital letters, apostrophes in contractions and to show ownership, and correct use of speech marks.

Each day we pray by reading the bible and discussing the morals of each story, as well as how we can apply them to our own lives. Students enjoy sharing their thoughts and questions, and often pray for loved ones and families in their petitions. We have also been doing Maranatha Meditations every week to connect with God in silence and to support our mental wellbeing.

As part of visible learning, we have been using thumbs up, down, or sideways to give quick feedback on how well they understand the specific concepts covered in class. This supports teachers in knowing how to improve future lessons.
