Tenison Woods Catholic School Wellbeing and Engagement Collection 2020 Report

At the end of Term 1 the students in Year 4-6 undertook the Government of South Australia Engagement and Wellbeing Collection Survey. This survey is designed to measure the wellbeing and engagement of middle years students across the state.

About the Wellbeing and Engagement Collection

The words wellbeing, engagement, character strengths, resilience, positive education, the General Capabilities, social and emotional skills are often used interchangeably. These terms each refer to a broad set of skills that help people succeed at school and later in adulthood.

This report describes the Tenison Woods student's views about their social and emotional wellbeing, their engagement at school and their experiences outside of school.

  • 94% of students responded having a medium and high wellbeing in the area of cognitive engagement.
  • 94% of students responded that they have a positive academic self-concept.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of the community in light of the results from this report. These findings from this report affirms all the hard work and focus the school and the wider community have placed on student wellbeing over the past 5 years and that this is having a significant positive impact on the wellbeing of students here at Tenison Woods.
