Sporting Schools Athletics Clinics:

Tenison Woods Catholic School was successful in its application to receive a Sporting Schools grant from the federal government. This funding is being used to facilitate a four week athletics program for all classes. These clinics began in Week 7 and concluded this week. We had Shane, a qualified coach from Athletics Australia, running each of the sessions over the four week period. During these clinics the students were involved in practicing the fundamental core skills of athletics. They had the opportunity to develop their running, jumping and throwing skills and these clinics have been a great preparation for our Sports Day in Term 4.

Term 3 School Netball

Last weekend was the last game for our three netball teams. I would like to congulate all of the players from each of the teams on their effort and fantastic sportsmanship shown throughout the season. Each of the teams and players have grown and developed their skills throughout the season. A special mention goes to the Year 3/4 team who went through the season undefeated. I would like to thank our parent volunteers Dani Raymond, Bernice Arentz and Kristy Collins for their coaching and guidance of the teams throughout the season.
