The theme for this year’s Book Week is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’
It will be held in Term 4 Week 2.
Our Book Week Parade will be held in the courtyard at 9.00am on Wednesday 21st October.
Children are asked to dress as a character from one of their favourite books and carry the book in the parade.
Families are welcome but will need to be physically distanced so we follow COVID-19 guidelines.
Homemade, simple outfits for the parade are welcome and encouraged. You may find inspiration in your dress-up boxes as well. Anyone who needs assistance with this please ask your class teacher.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be set up in the library area. It will be open before and after school on Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st October.
Class teachers will be using the 2019/2020 short-listed books to read and inspire their students and I look forward to seeing the activities and enthusiasm with which everyone embraces Book Week 2020.
Premier's Reading Challenge for this year is now completed. Thank you to all those who have supported and encouraged our students with their reading so that they can experience the beauty and importance of literature in their lives.
