In all things love
Feast of the Assumption of Mary- August 15th
As a Catholic community we now honour and acknowledge the Assumption of Mary the Mother of Jesus. She was assumed into heaven body and soul by the power of Jesus after she completed the course of her earthly life. This celebration was first acknowledged and defined in 1950 by Pope Pius XII. As the first apostle for her son and due to her non-wavering commitment to his mission, we thank Mary and follow her as an example of a mother's love.
Being open to other people’s perspectives - Diocesan Assembly
There’ll be lots of talking at the upcoming Diocesan Assembly – of course! It’d be a dull event without conversation. A diocesan assembly is a gathering of representatives from the various communities within the Archdiocese of Adelaide to discuss the life of the local church and make recommendations for the work and mission of the archdiocese. Watch the video below in the gallery to find out how you can share your voice and thoughts by answering the questions:
What are the challenges and opportunities in your community;
How can we as church best fulfil our mission to be the People of God in this place?

The Catholic Schools Music Festival hits the stage again in September.
Music director Denise Rothall had the opportunity to work with large numbers of students and their teachers at one time in preparation for the Catholic Schools Music Festival.
The TWCS choir attended a rehearsal at Nazareth Catholic College’s junior campus on June 15 and brought together more than 100 students from other schools in our western region.
“The students are so excited about performing on stage again,” said production manager Samantha Taylor.
“Our only restrictions this year will be on capacity of the venue and whether people in the audience will be required to wear face masks. We will keep monitoring the situation in the coming months but otherwise things are back to normal. This year’s choral program will feature a Beatles medley and the four concerts will showcase the musical talents of more than 1800 students from 80 Catholic schools around the State."
