SACPSSA Cross Country Carnival:

On Wednesday 18th of August we will be sending approximately 20 students to the SACPSSA Cross Country Carnival that is taking place in the east parklands in the city. The students will complete a 2km race across a variety of terrain including a creek crossing. I wish the students the very best and I look forward to sharing the results from this carnival in our next newsletter. Parent spectators are allowed this year but if you are wanting to attend to watch your child run you must let the school know as we need to record all spectators that attend the carnival.

School Netball and Soccer

Now with school netball and soccer back up and running after the lockdown and the lifting of restrictions.  Here are a few reminders in relation to after school sport:

  • Parents please comply with the various schools and soccer venue guidelines of social distancing when viewing your child playing. All persons over the age of 12 must wear a mask when viewing soccer and netball games.
  •
  • If you or your child is unwell please ensure to comply with the Covid-19 guidelines and keep your child home and notify your child's coach.
  •
  • Please ensure that if your child is unavailable to play that you notify the team coach with as much notice as possible.
  •
  • Please ensure you arrive at the game with ample time for your child to warm up and for the coach to organise their players.
  •
  • Also please ensure that there is no sharing of drink bottles or half time snacks and treats.

I thank you for your support in these requests as it will allow us to continue to provide school sport for the children in a safe manner.
