SACPSSA Cross Country Carnival

On Wednesday 7th of August we will be sending approximately 35 students to the SACPSSA Cross Country Carnival that is taking place in the east parklands in the city. The students will complete a 2km race across a variety of terrain including a creek crossing. I wish the students the very best and I look forward to sharing the results from this carnival in our next newsletter.

School Netball and Soccer

We are now into week 2 of the term and school netball and soccer is back up and running. Just a few reminders in relation to after school sport:

  • Please ensure that if your child is unavailable to play that you notify the team coach with as much notice as possible.
  • Please ensure you arrive at the game with ample time for your child to warm up and for the coach to organise their players.

Reminders Specific to Soccer:

The NWJSA states specifically the following rules in relation to students playing soccer:

  • For U/6 and U/7 the clinic is compulsory and players who do not attend the clinic will not be allowed to play the game.
  • Students in U/8 who arrive after kick off will not be permitted to play the game.
  • Students are not permitted to play without shin guards.

NWJSA End of Season Soccer Carnival

The NWJSA soccer season concludes on Saturday September 14th with the end of season carnival for the U/6 to U/8 teams. This end of season carnival will consist of the teams playing two games across the day with roughly an hour to an hour and half break in between games. During this time there are fun activities, rides and stalls for the students to engage with. I need to let the association know if any of our teams will not be participating so if your child is not available for the end of season carnival can you please notify your coach as soon as possible.
