Newsletter Term 3 Week 8 2020

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

I hope that you are enjoying the change in weather. It has been great to have a bit more sunshine to brighten everyone's day. With the new building, the new oval and the sunshine, our school is looking great. Our Green Team have done a fantastic job in encouraging 'Nude Food' and we have seen an amazing reduction in wrappers and papers around the yard. I want to thank all parents for making the effort to help their children to see that there is a better way for us to use, reuse and limit the amount of waste we produce. Congratulations Green Team!

WALK A MILE IN MY BOOTS PRESENTS HUTT ST CENTRE WALK A MILE CHALLENGE 

The Walk a Mile in My Boots event is mixing things up a little bit this year.   So this year, we proudly present the Walk a Mile Challenge.

Our challenge is to Walk a Mile (or more) to help end homelessness and help us reach our collective goal of 6,000 miles – one for every person experiencing homelessness in South Australia.

Thursday 10 September is R U OK? Day – and a reminder that on every day of the year we should support people who may be struggling.

This week all class teachers are opening their doors to the Leadership Team to 'Walk Through' the classrooms.

SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival

Throughout Term 3, the students in Years 3 to 6 have been familiarising themselves with the rules, skills, movements and strategies associated with modified touch football, in preparation for a Physical Education excursion to a SACPSSA Touch Football Carnival. 

It has been an exciting and interesting term and our learning continues to take us to many places. The students are continuing to find new expressions to express their feelings, among them: stanco(a), felice, triste, bene, male, ansioso(a), eccitato(a), calmo(a), etc.

Hello TWCS Community

Well, another successful Father's Day Stall has come and gone. Thank you to those who ordered and allowed their children to participate. The kids loved choosing the gifts for the special people in their lives and I hope all fathers had a wonderful day.
